Dobson is located in north central area of North Carolina. It is the County Seat of Surry County. I-77 is just west of the city. The city is located between Winston Salem and Mount Airey, NC. Mount Airy was the town that the fictitious named town of Mayberry represented on the Andy Griffith show. The Wells Fargo bank branch is located across the street from the historic Surry County Courthouse. Within a half mile of the bank branch there is a Burger King, Bojangles and a McDonalds restaurants.
