ABOUT DOWNTOWN WILMINGTON

Wilmington, Delaware, offers businesses some of the most affordable office rents of any major central business district in the northeastern United States. The state’s business-friendly court system and lack of corporate income tax make it a magnet for large financial institutions.

Chase Bank, Capital One, and M&T Bank all occupy more than 150,000 square feet in downtown Wilmington, and other major firms including AAA, Harley Davidson, and The Chemours Company also have large operations here.

By locating in downtown Wilmington, firms can lease office space at less than half the prices in Manhattan or Washington, D.C. and remain within a 90-minute train ride of both of these destinations via the Amtrak high-speed Acela line, which stops at Wilmington Station.

Neal Dangello, Senior Managing Director
Since joining Newmark in 2001, Mr. Dangello has completed over 750 leasing and sales transactions totaling over 7,500,000 square feet, which are amongst some of the largest leasing transactions in the region including ING Direct, Farmers Insurance, Computer Sciences Corp., and Corporation Services Company. He has also been named one of the “Blacks Guide’s Top Guns” as well as “Power Broker” for being one of the Philadelphia region’s top 20 brokers. In addition, over the years Mr. Dangello has had multiple transactions recognized by the Philadelphia Business Journal as completing some of the best real estate deals in the Philadelphia MSA.

During his tenure at Newmark, Mr. Dangello has worked and managed relationships with some of the largest landlords in the region and country including Equity Commonwealth, Brandywine Realty Trust, Buccini/Pollin Group, Trefoil Properties, Keystone Property Group and M&T Bank to name a few.
Brett DiClemente, Associate Director
Brett A. DiClemente serves as an Associate Director in Newmark’s Wilmington, Delaware, office, where he focuses on tenant representation, leasing, property disposition and site selection in the New Castle County region. Since 2010, he has completed more than 300,000 square feet of lease and sale transactions representing clients from a diverse range of industries.

Before joining Newmark in 2008, Mr. DiClemente worked for Ryan Homes, the sixth-largest home builder in the U.S. Mr. DiClemente was responsible for the marketing, sales and development of new homes in multiple locations within Delaware.
