The Avon Building is a historically considered work of art and architecture. The original facade was raised in 1960 and in 1990 the visionary artist Richard Haas was commissioned by the city of Huntsville to paint the original facade of the building. Richard Haas is the foremost architectural illusion painter in the world. The interior has been stripped of all theatrical features and has been a retail space, church, antique mall, and is currently a mattress outlet. The utilities are shared with the neighboring tenant. It has been rented as an all-bills paid space. If the new tenant has extraordinary requirements to service the public, wiring, and plumbing may need to be altered for high consumption and high traffic. There are concrete floors, masonry walls, sheetrock walls, one bathroom, and two storage closets in the loft space which can be storage or an office area. This site is on the quarterly parade route on Sam Houston Ave there is a working marquee that can be used and would be used by the existing tenant.
