About Carson

Carson is one of the major industrial hubs in the South Bay area of Greater Los Angeles. The city benefits from its proximity to the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach as well as access to numerous freeways. A wide range of industrial tenants decide to locate in the area. Both small businesses and Fortune 500 companies call Carson home. Businesses have convenient access to Los Angeles International Airport as well as the Long Beach Airport.

Residents and workers enjoy Southern California's beautiful weather, as well as Carson's proximity to well-known landmarks, airports, places of interest, and entertainment. The beach is only miles away. The SouthBay Pavilion is a 1.1-million-square-foot mall that provides numerous retail and restaurant options. The area also provides some of the more affordable housing in Greater Los Angeles.

As in much of Los Angeles, the heavily built-out character of the area prevents any significant new industrial development. Competition for space is typically high as a result. Industrial space in Carson is available for a modest discount compared to the greater Los Angeles average.

Leasing Team

Leasing Team

Matthew Stringfellow, Principal
Matt Stringfellow, SIOR, is a Principal and Partner at The Klabin Company and has been instrumental in the firm’s growth and leadership since joining the company in 2003. He plays a central role in advancing The Klabin Company’s regional and national reach while helping preserve the entrepreneurial spirit and client-first approach that have defined the privately owned firm for decades. Matt has cultivated longstanding relationships with premier institutional property owners and represents a distinguished roster of clients throughout the Los Angeles region and beyond.

Widely respected for his strategic perspective and deep market knowledge, Matt has helped drive The Klabin Company’s continued success in Southern California’s industrial real estate sector. His contributions to the industry were recognized by the Los Angeles Times publication Commercial Real Estate Trends, Updates & Visionaries, which named him a Commercial Real Estate Visionary for his resilience, adaptability and forward-thinking leadership.

Matt is a member of the Society of Industrial & Office Realtors (SIOR) and serves on the board of the SIOR Greater Los Angeles Chapter. He is also a member of the American Industrial Real Estate Association (AIR) and CORFAC International. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a minor in English, from Vanderbilt University. A lifelong surfer, Matt has traveled the world on surf adventures with friends, family and colleagues. He resides in Mar Vista with his wife and three children.
Tyler Rollema, Principal
Tyler Rollema started his career in commercial real estate right out of college in 2012 when he landed a position on Coldwell Banker Commercial’s industrial team in Long Beach. After three years at CB focusing on smaller industrial buildings in Long Beach and along the I-605 corridor, Tyler wanted to branch out to expand his reach into the broader South Bay industrial market and have the opportunity to compete for larger transactions. This led him to The Klabin Company, joining the team in 2016.

Today, Tyler primarily focuses on Tenant and Landlord representation and industrial leasing and sales. When he’s not serving his clients and developing new leads for transactions, he works closely with Matt Stringfellow, SIOR, on generating business at The Klabin Company. Tyler has been fortunate to represent several large landowners near the ports of LA/LB, selling several land parcels for the company. This has established him as a key source for future land and industrial transactions in the cities surrounding the Los Angeles ports. Tyler is a SIOR Member, and has held several leadership positions within the CORFAC international network.

Tyler and his wife reside in Long Beach with their two sons. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Cellular/Molecular Biology from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California, and is interested in outdoor activities such as hiking, snowboarding and wakeboarding. He enjoys movies and TV shows, doing projects around the house, traveling and cars.
Courtney Bell, Principal
Courtney Bell joined The Klabin Company more than 30 years ago. Today, he is one of the firm’s top producing brokers and serves as Principal, fostering new and existing client relationships, while also mentoring several of his colleagues as they start out in the industry.

Something he learned at the start of his career and still excels at today is being a trusted consultant, one that understands marketing, the art of negotiating, the ability to identify the benefits of a transaction and how to properly communicate those benefits to his clients.

Courtney specializes in owner/tenant commercial real estate sales/ leasing representation and investment sales. His career includes defining moments, the first being a “build-to-suit” project in the mid-1990’s that afforded him the opportunity to gain valuable and in-depth knowledge of the new-construction development process from start to finish. Another highlight was in early 2019 when he was part of the team that finalized the more than $20 million sale of an industrial building in Santa Fe Springs, California, his largest transaction to date.

Courtney is a member of the American Industrial Real Estate Association (AIR) and CORFAC International. He is a passionate car enthusiast, and in his spare time, he enjoys track days in his manual shift, Cadillac CTS-V Wagon and mountain biking. He resides in Redondo Beach with his wife and two daughters.
Scott Andersen, Senior Associate
Scott Andersen joined The Klabin Company in November 2024 as a Senior Associate, bringing over five years of experience in industrial real estate from his previous role as Vice President at Okula Commercial, a small firm just up the road from The Klabin Company's headquarters in Torrance. At Klabin, Scott continues to serve buyers, sellers, tenants, and owners, providing expertise in local markets, financial analysis, and strategic advice on optimal locations. His journey into industrial real estate began with hands-on experience in the construction industry at Andersen Construction, his father's company, which specialized in tenant improvements for industrial buildings. There, he developed an interest in brokerage, thanks to insightful conversations with commercial agents, which led him to join Okula.

Scott was drawn to The Klabin Company by the team's reputation and the firm’s unique balance as a boutique business with a strong regional presence in high-profile, large transactions. In addition to advising clients, he collaborates with Klabin’s senior leadership to drive new business. Outside of work, Scott is highly active, staying fit through regular workouts and enjoying golf, pickleball, and beach volleyball on weekends with his wife. They live in Orange County with their cherished dog. Scott holds a B.A. in Business Management from California State University, Long Beach where he also completed and earned certification in the Global Logistics Professional (GLP) program for added expertise in the supply chain industry.
