Mr. Baldauf’s real estate career began in 1987 at Damon Raike and Company, where he specialized in office leasing on both landlord and tenant representation assignments. From 1995 through 2005, he worked with the Shorenstein Company’s leasing team, and by 1999 he had moved into the role of senior vice president and regional manager of San Francisco properties. In this role, he was responsible for managing the San Francisco portfolio of more than 7.0 million square feet at 12 different properties.
In 2005 he joined the regional office of Cornish & Carey in San Francisco as a founding partner. He helped grow that office’s agency and tenant representation practices, culminating in the successful merger with Newmark in 2014.

Prior to joining McCarthy Cook, Richard spent six years with Equity Office Properties leasing Class A office product in the Peninsula, East Bay, North Bay and San Jose submarkets where he completed 1,700,00 square feet of lease transactions and was involved in 1.,600,000 square feet of acquisitions and 1,500,000 square feet of dispositions. Prior to Equity Office, Richard performed corporate services at both Cushman & Wakefield and CB Richard Ellis providing services for clients such as Fritz Companies and DuPont. Richard started his real estate career as a broker in San Francisco with Colliers International. Cumulatively, Richard has completed over 5,000,000 square feet of lease transactions representing both corporate tenants and institutional real estate owners.
