ABOUT THE PROPERTY
The Neidhammer building was originally the International Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF) Capitale Lodge when it was opened in 1901. The Neidhammer draws its name from the Neidhammer family that rented the first two floors, living on the second and running a pharmacy on the 1st. The Odd Fellows were proponents of Prohibition and went into decline after the 21st Amendment was ratified. Following the decline of the IOOF The Neidhammer building went through decades of different owners and lessors until it was eventually abandoned in the early 2000s. In 2014 the roof suffered a partial collapse and the building went on the city's demo list. The current owners purchased the building and completed a full gut and rebuild in 2016, opening the coffee shop in June 2016 and Events / CoWork in January 2017. As we enter 2019, the property ownership is looking for an aggressive client that will be responsive to our space.
