PROPERTY OVERVIEW
This structure was originally built as an annex to the Fireman's Fund Insurance Company (now demolished). It was constructed in a 3-part vertical composition with gothic ornamentation, but major additions in 1929 changed the character of the facade to a stacked composition. Its steel frame is clad in a handsome modulated gray terra cotta, finely detailed, with a green cornice. Inside the building there is constant renovation, beginning with the front lobby and continuing throughout the floors. The Transbay Terminal is a short distance away, and the Montgomery BART & MUNI stations is also within walking distance. The California cable car line is located just around the corner. The Embarcadero Center provides fine shops and dining just 2 blocks away.
