About Cottonwood

Cottonwood is one of the principal suburban office nodes in Salt Lake City and is located around 15 miles southeast of downtown. The area features proximity to Interstate 215, the city of Sandy, and the Wasatch Mountain Range. Collin Perkins, Associate Broker
Collin Perkins currently serves as an associate broker in Mountain West’s Salt Lake City office. Collin has specialized in office product and has been a top producer every year. After nearly 33 years in corporate real estate, Collin has leased 12 million square feet and participated in the acquisition and/or disposition of over $800 million in commercial properties. Recent clients have included All State Insurance, Bay Pacific Corporation, BDO, Crump Life, Doerken Properties, Degreed, Hamilton Partners, HNTB, MetTel Communications, MGIS, PlanSource, Sportsman’s Warehouse, Stearns Lending, Sunrise Engineering, Temkin Properties and the University of Utah.

Prior to joining Mountain West, Collin was a Managing Director at Newmark. Collin  also worked for seven years in the Salt Lake City office of Grubb & Ellis, as a vice president with the Office Services Group. One of the company’s top producers, he received the prestigious Circle of Excellence award, which recognizes the top Grubb & Ellis agents nationwide, in 1997 and 1998. Collin previously worked for nearly three years in the Phoenix office of The Koll Company. As a senior manager, his responsibilities included supervising the leasing and management of a Class A office portfolio for clients such as Principal Financial Group, AEW, and Kansas Public Employees’ Pension Fund. In 1991, Collin received The Koll Company’s Big Deal award, in recognition of his efforts to complete a 100,000-square-foot, 10-year lease with a national insurance company.

Collin began his real estate career in 1986 in Washington, D.C., as a leasing agent for Wade Investment Company, a local real estate developer. After working on several Class A and Class B office projects, he was promoted to the position of vice president, responsible for directing the marketing and leasing efforts of a 5 million-square-foot office portfolio. While in Washington, D.C., Collin earned his MBA from George Washington University.
