Who
Edinburgh-born Alastair Buchanan is an associate in our Glasgow office. He sits on the RICS Scotland Valuation Professional Group Board.
That was then
Having graduated from Heriot-Watt University in 2001, Alastair began his career at a property and construction consultancy in Dunfermline before joining Shepherd''s commercial office in Glasgow in 2005. He became an associate in 2007.
This is now
Alastair undertakes valuation work within the firm''s commercial department in Glasgow and the West of Scotland, working with a number of major institutional lenders, investors, receivers, insolvency practitioners and private clients.
Rest and play
In his spare time he enjoys golf and football, and is a keen follower of most sports. He also plays the violin and is a member of the Edinburgh Highland Reel and Strathspey Society.
