Alex Samoylovich is the Co Founder and Managing Partner of CEDARst Companies, an integrated real estate developer responsible for more than 4 billion dollars in multifamily and mixed use projects across major U.S. markets. He has helped build a national portfolio exceeding 7,500 units with a focus on design driven, experiential communities and long term neighborhood impact. Alex is also the Founder and Executive Chairman of Proper., a national residential property management platform built to unite best in class operators under a technology enabled service model. In addition, he founded Livly, a multifamily operating system that centralizes resident experience, operations, and automation for owners and managers. Earlier in his career, Alex was an equity and options trader, grounding his approach to real estate in disciplined risk management and capital structure strategy. He was named to Crain’s Chicago Business 40 Under 40 list for his leadership in real estate, technology, and community focused development.
Alex is also recognized for his perspective on tax efficient real estate strategy, tax mitigation planning, and capital structure discipline, particularly where development, adaptive reuse, incentive alignment, and long term asset performance intersect.
