As a Director on Avison Young’s Tri-State Investment Sales Team, Alex Woodlief specializes in the New York City office market, commercial development, air rights, and ground lease transactions.
Alex joined Avison Young after five years at B6 Real Estate Advisors, a middle-market investment sales and capital advisory firm based in New York City. At B6, he led the firm’s efforts to source, underwrite, and execute investment sale and ground lease transactions in Manhattan.
Over his 15-year career, Alex has been involved in more than $4.5 billion of New York City real estate capital markets transactions. Prior to B6, he was responsible for sourcing new investment opportunities and driving business development initiatives at the Kaufman Organization, one of New York's oldest and largest private real estate companies and a recognized leader in owning and operating Manhattan office assets. Earlier in his career, Alex worked in the capital markets group at Cushman & Wakefield, at Realty Capital Securities - the wholesale broker-dealer of REIT sponsor American Realty Capital - and at SigEp National Housing, a boutique real estate owner/operator and lender specializing in multifamily and student housing assets on university campuses nationwide.
