Andre Hobbs is a top-rated San Diego Real Estate Broker, U.S. Navy Veteran, and Team Lead of The Hobbs Valor Group at Jason Mitchell Real Estate CA, Inc., with more than 20 years of experience helping buyers, sellers, military families, and investors throughout San Diego County. Specializing in VA home loans, military relocation, luxury homes, and strategic marketing, Andre is known for his professionalism, integrity, expert negotiation skills, and personalized client service.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, and later raised in South Carolina, Andre enlisted in the United States Navy after graduating high school in 1984. His military career began aboard the USS Midway in Yokosuka, Japan, serving with Attack Squadron VA-56. In 1995, while stationed aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, Andre earned the distinguished Sailor of the Year award, leading to an assignment as one of the youngest diplomats at the United States Embassy in Canberra, Australia. He also supported Presidential and Secret Service operations during visits by President Bill Clinton.
Following his final tour at Naval Medical Center San Diego, Andre chose to remain in San Diego and build his real estate career serving the community he proudly calls home. His commitment to veterans and military families extends beyond real estate, previously serving as a Former President (2-Terms), now National Director Member of the Affordable Housing Committee for VAREP (Veteran Association of Real Estate Professionals), and as an Executive Board Member for the Veterans East County Alliance (VECA).
Andre was honored as the 2022 Veteran of the Year for the City of El Cajon and San Diego Veteran Coalition and has been recognized with the Coldwell Banker Global Luxury International President’s Circle award, ranking among the top 5% of sales associates worldwide.
