The Corporate Capital Markets group provides Newmark M&A private equity sponsors and corporate occupier clients with strategic solutions to their real estate capital concerns. As a recognized global leader in the real estate investment community, Newmark professionals apply creative advisory, transaction management, deal structuring and marketing expertise to deliver exceptional capital solutions for their private, corporate and institutional clientele. Institutional clients-including investment banks, major law firms, insurance companies, media companies and major private equity firms-have access to comprehensive capital markets solutions globally. Sandquist has more than 28 years of experience advising occupiers and owners of net leased properties in structured finance and commercial real estate and focuses on counseling clients regarding customized real estate monetization strategies. Sandquist utilizes his commercial banking and investment banking background to creatively structure, negotiate, price and finance leveraged real estate transactions. Sandquist has closed recent transactions representing more than 104 million square feet and $6 billion in value across North America, Europe and Asia. Primary clients include M&A private equity sponsors and corporate occupiers. Prior to joining Newmark, Sandquist served as Executive Vice President of CBRE’s Corporate Capital Markets practice and played an integral role in both the Capital Markets and Global Corporate Services groups, providing capital markets advisory and execution expertise for planned and existing assets on behalf of M&A private equity sponsors, corporate users, developers and owners. Education
Sandquist earned a Master of Business Administration degree in finance from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management. He also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance from the University of Iowa.
