Bio
Ben joined the company’s investment department in 2011. Prior to becoming President and CEO in January of 2025, he served as the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy, where he was responsible for formulating the company’s view on intrinsic value, developing and implementing capital allocation strategies and monitoring our insurance subsidiary, CNA.
Ben is a member of the Board of Directors of Loews Corporation (NYSE: L) and of CNA Financial (NYSE: CNA). He also sits on the boards of Altium Packaging and Boardwalk Pipelines, two of Loews’s privately held subsidiaries.
Prior to joining Loews, Ben was a Managing Director at Fortress Investment Group. At Fortress, Ben managed a variety of asset classes for the Global Macro Fund, including international fixed income, international equities, and U.S./European credit instruments.
Ben is an honors graduate of Brown University where he studied Public and Private Sector Organizations and Political Science. He currently resides in New York City and serves as a Co-President of the Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty and as a Board Member of UJA-Federation of New York.
