Bio
Born and raised in Brooklyn, Ben N. Weiss -- aside from some time studying and traveling
abroad -- has spent the vast majority of his life living, studying, working in and focusing on the
Metro New York City region. He began his real estate career in the operation and management
of one of New York State's largest congregate care housing facilities, ultimately co-managing its
operation. He then established and headed the business development unit of the largest
institutional pharmaceutical distributor in the Metro New York region, expanding its footprint to
new markets and generating significant growth.
After completing his master’s degree in Real Estate Finance and Investments at NYU, Ben
found his true calling in CRE Investment Sales with Besen & Associates. During his nearly 19-
year tenure with Besen, he closed sales transactions representing a full range of asset classes
throughout New York City and the tri-state region. Asset categories included multifamily, bulk
condominium packages, industrial, retail, office, mixed-use, distressed assets, and note sales,
as well as more complex development and assemblage transactions. He had particular success
in achieving above-market values for Brooklyn multifamily buildings. His record of
accomplishment in this market derives from his nuanced knowledge of the borough, attributable
to his decades of living and working in its various neighborhoods.
Ben maintains close personal relationships with his clients and has a loyal following.
Aside from his master's degree in Real Estate Finance and Investments, Ben has also earned
degrees in both psychology and Talmudic law. Ben is fluent in several languages and is also
involved in several not-for-profit organizations. He serves on the board of Highway of Hope,
which provides assistance and support to patients with rare diseases.
