Ben Lushing joined Newmark in 2023 as a Senior Director on the Capital Markets Team based in Los Angeles, California. Lushing has worked on an array of trophy transactions both in Los Angeles and in New York City over the last nine years across all asset classes on behalf of many institutional clients.
Lushing started his career at Cushman & Wakefield in 2014 as an Analyst in the Investment Banking Group in New York City. In that position, Lushing worked closely with corporations and institutions to maximize their real estate value through the use of structured financial products, involving tax, capital and accounting strategies.
In October 2016, Lushing joined the Capital Markets Team led by Doug Harmon and Adam Spies, as their first junior internal employee. In October 2022, Lushing moved to Los Angeles to help build out the institutional West Coast Capital Markets business with Kevin Donner, before recently joining Newmark.
