In his six years of commercial real estate experience, Bill has sold, leased, managed, and marketed a wide variety of properties across the Greater Houston Area. In addition, he has extensive experience in construction management and interior finish. His strong grasp of industrial market and client-first mentality allow him to add valueo his clients and see his deals through to a successful completion. Bill spent four years at CB Richard Ellis, Inc., beginning in Marketing before making the transition to Industrial Services. While in Industrial Services, he developed business while strategically marketing various properties for lease and/or for sale. Some of his clients included Cedar Creek Lumber, Culligan, Davis Commercial Development, DoAll, DuPont, and Groves Industrial Supply.
After CB Richard Ellis, Bill exclusively represented eight partnerships owning approximately 1 million square feet of industrial and office property in the Greater Houston Area. In one year, he successfully raised the partnerships’ occupancy rate to 95% while completing over $2 million in total gross consideration. His interactions included tenants like AdPlex, Interior Creations, Memorial Herman Home Health, Siemens, Terrapin Tire, and Transco Global Logistics. During this time, he not only leased and managed the partnerships’ properties, but also managed the construction and make ready processes for tenant improvements.
It was that experience that led Bill into construction management and tenant finish work. For the past eight months, his small contracting company, Mallard Contractors, LLC, has been completing tenant finish and make-ready projects for clients like Transwestern, CB Richard Ellis, The National Realty Group, The Khoshbin Company, St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Hotwell US, Indermuehle & Company, Stewart & Stevenson and First Industrial Realty Trust. Though he enjoys this line of work, it was his passion for industrial brokerage that led him to join forces with CEC Brokerage as Senior Vice President, Industrial Division.
As head of the Industrial Division at CEC, Bill’s primary focus is on successfully representing owners or prospective owners of industrial property in the acquisition, disposition or leasing of their assets. He also brings a strong mind for design, layout and development of industrial product; and with his connections in the contracting sector, adds value to those clients desiring to build or remodel industrial facilities as well.
Bill holds a BA in Political Science, with a Minor in Spanish, from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. He and his wife Kimberly make their home in Northwest Houston. Together, they have three kids, two dogs and a cat.
