Bill Morris co-founded Morris-Floyd Capital Partners in 2010 in order to re-establish a retail real estate acquisition and consulting firm. In his 28-year career, Bill has developed or re-developed over 3M square feet of retail shopping centers, acquired over 2.5M square feet of existing centers, developed over 1M square feet of office/showroom space, acquired over 600K square feet of existing office-tech space, acquired over 2,000 acres of commercial and residential land and has secured over $750M for construction, acquisition and permanent debt financing and raised over $200M in equity. Since formation, Morris-Floyd Capital Partners has acquired six centers in four states totaling over 500K square feet, raised over $30M in equity and secured $32M in debt. Bill was formerly the Chief Acquisition Officer and Senior Partner of Trademark Property Company, where he led the acquisition and re-development of the $164M La Palmera, a 1M square foot, three-anchor enclosed mall in Corpus Christi, TX. Bill also established Trademark’s Land Investment Division and purchased over 824 acres at a total cost of over $25M for future mixed-use development. Bill was also the founding partner of Trinity Acquisition and Investments, a retail acquisition and investment firm. During his 7 years as President, Bill acquired over 700K square feet of retail and office-tech space in Texas. Bill has arranged over $169M real estate equity capital for almost 1.5M square feet of space and over 900 acres of land in the last 4 years. Bill became passionate with commercial real estate in high school where he worked on the redevelopment of Downtown Fort Worth and Sundance Square and was able to witness the early evolution of The Bass Family’s vision. Bill is involved in several charitable organizations and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Center and holds a Texas Broker’s license. Bill holds an M.B.A from Texas Christian University and a B.B.A from Southern Methodist University. Bill, his wife Tyler and their 2 children reside in Weatherford and Strawn, Texas.
