Bob Steinbock joined CBRE in June 2002 to spearhead the company’s expansion of services in Silicon Valley to include tenant representation, corporate services, industrial services and investment brokerage.
Since 1991, Bob has specialized in the disposition and leasing of institutionally owned real estate in Silicon Valley and representation of high-tech tenants.
In the past five (5) years, Bob has been a Top 10 Performer in the San Jose Office (4 of the last 5 years), Top 20 Performer in the Northern California Region (4 out of 5 years), and Top 25 Performer in the Silicon Valley Business Journal’s List of Commercial Real Estate Agents (4 out of 5 years).
Major companies Bob has represented include JP DiNapoli Co, Kilroy Realty, Mission West Properties, Brookfield, Peery-Arrillaga, Prudential, Four Corners, Union Pacific Railroad and Hines. Bob has been involved in the two largest investment transactions in Silicon Valley history (5.33 Million SF Peery-Arrillaga Portfolio to a confidential fiancial client and 7.625 Million SF Mission West Portfolio to DivcoWest/TPG) and the largest land sale in Silicon Valley History-170 acres from Nummi to Union Pacific Railroad (and subsequent sales of that same land to Lennar-110 acres, ThermoFisher 25 acres and Tesla-35 acres). Bob also represented the largest sublease in Silicon Valley history (377,000 SF, Celanese to HGST) in San Jose.
