Bio
Bret Gray has over a decade of experience in residential new construction in Chicago. He transitioned into development in 2017, joining Ranquist Development after a career in commercial office brokerage. In 2022, he became the Director of Development at ZSD, where he oversees rental, condominium, and mixed-use projects from inception to completion.
Throughout his career, Bret has managed all aspects of the development process, including entitlements, due diligence, construction management, brokerage, marketing, and sales. He has led complex construction projects, notably converting four historic religious institutions into 81 residential units. To date, he has overseen the development of more than $130 million in residential and mixed-use real estate, delivering architecturally-refined projects across various scales.
