Brooke Christianson serves as Executive Vice President of Canalta Hotels, a family-owned hospitality company headquartered in Drumheller, Alberta. In this role, Mr. Christianson oversees hotel operations and strategic initiatives that support the company’s continued growth across Western Canada.
Brooke joined Canalta Hotels in the early 2000s and assumed the role of Executive Vice President in 2009, following the retirement of co-founder Sharlene Christianson. Since then, he has played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s portfolio to more than 40 hotels across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, as well as multiple restaurant brands. His leadership has been instrumental in the launch of the Canalta Hotels brand in 2009, the development of Canalta Lodge in Banff, and strategic partnerships with global hospitality companies such as Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and Hilton.
In addition to his responsibilities at Canalta, Brooke has contributed to the broader hospitality industry through leadership roles, including serving as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Alberta Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) from 2019 to 2023
