Brooke Hanford joined York Properties in 2013 and plays a key role in marketing and executive support. Her work appeals to her detail-oriented nature, and she enjoys diving into the finer points of each project to ensure materials are accurate, thoughtful, and executed at the highest level. In her role as Executive Assistant to Smedes York, Brooke has the opportunity to work with a wide range of interesting people and gain behind-the-scenes insight into impactful projects and organizations—an experience she does not take for granted.
Brooke holds an active North Carolina real estate license and is a commissioned North Carolina Notary Public. She is deeply engaged in the community, serving as a board member for Note in the Pocket and Treasurer for Wall Creek EMO. Her past involvement includes serving as Secretary for the Oberlin Initiatives Committee, graduating from Leadership Raleigh Class 37, and serving on the Community Investment Committee for United Way of the Greater Triangle.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Outside of work, Brooke enjoys spending time with her family, whether relaxing by the fire pit with neighbors, hiking together, or visiting the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. She also enjoys trying new restaurants, ending the day with a glass of wine on the back porch with her husband, and curling up with a good book—especially on a rainy day. Brooke and her husband, Greg, have two teenage daughters, Katie and Sarah, along with enough pets to qualify as a small zoo.
