Shep oversees the firm’s day-to-day functions with a focus on investment activity and portfolio performance. During his time at APG, he has been involved in principal transactions totaling over $1 billion. Shep chairs APG’s Partner’s Committee.
Prior to joining APG in 2011, he spent four years in the commercial mortgage banking industry working in the Atlanta office of Grandbridge Real Estate Capital, a subsidiary of BB&T. While there, he was involved in over $350 million of closed debt transactions with various capital sources, including life insurance companies, CMBS lenders, and commercial banks.
Shep earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia and an MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. He is a member of NAIOP where he serves on the Board of the NAIOP GA Chapter and is a member of a National Forum. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Cancer Support Community – Atlanta.
