Charlie Dahlem graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1988 with a B.A. in Economics. After college, he moved to Atlanta, Georgia to take a position as a banking officer with Citizens & Southern National Bank (now Bank of America). In late 1990 Charlie returned to Louisville to join Dahlem Construction Company to manage the marketing and business development for the company. In 1996 he was named Dahlem Construction’s Chief Executive Officer. The family’s construction company was sold in 1998 to two of its employees and Charlie joined Dahlem Realty with duties primarily in leasing and construction. Today, Charlie and his twin brother, Jim, are engaged in the acquisition, disposition, development and management of the company’s real estate assets.
