Clayton Pristou co-founded SPC Investors in 2023, bringing nearly a decade of direct real estate experience. Clayton is primarily focused on acquisitions while also overseeing asset management and debt/equity relationships.
He began his career in Washington, DC as a Real Estate Investment Banking Analyst at JLL. Clayton worked his way into an Associate role, supporting his team arrange debt and equity financing across the capital stack for their clients.
In 2017 Clayton and his team joined Avison Young’s Mid-Atlantic office, continuing to focus on structured finance across all property types. Over the years, the team routinely averaged over $1 billion in transaction volume including joint-venture equity, construction loans, senior (permanent) debt, bridge debt, mezzanine debt, preferred equity, recapitalization and ground lease structuring.
In October 2020 Clayton relocated to Denver, CO as a Vice President to start and grow Avison Young’s Structured Finance Group in the Inter-mountain West. During his brokerage career, Clayton has closed over $350 million in financings and has underwritten billions over hundreds of deals.
