Mr. Behring is a seasoned finance entrepreneur with over 7 years living and working on projects in China, Brazil, and the United States. Behring is currently the CEO of the Berkeley Regional Center Fund LLC (BRC), a company utilizing the robust trend of global outbound investment to the US to invest and finance real estate projects. Given the recent developments within the global economy and the continuing surge of investors looking to diversify their holdings, the BRC is poised to invest and finance over US $200 million in California real estate construction in the near future.
Behring's background is in developing and constructing master planned residential resort style communities. For instance, the Behring Group's signature project in Shanghai, "The Sanctuary at Dongtan", is a 360 acre American Style golf course community with over 2,000 residential units, 18-holes of golf, clubhouse facilities and commercial retail. Behring was an instrumental contributor to every aspect for the project. Extraordinary efforts from the initial due-diligence including financial modeling, deriving valuation from seemingly non-existent comparables, navigating the complex political atmosphere for land acquisitions, golf course development and foreign currency exchange helped successfully close a land deal worth over US$325 million. The project remains under construction and has completed its model complex, 9 holes of golf and first two construction phases.
Behring proudly graduated from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo as a Scholarship athlete in American Football, speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese and elementary Portuguese.
