With nearly a decade of experience in the Southeastern real estate and construction industry, Dane Fortune brings a dynamic and well-rounded perspective to his role in Business Strategy at Fortune-Johnson, one of the largest multifamily general contractors in the region. Since joining the company in 2016, Dane has held progressive roles across field operations, project management, preconstruction, marketing, and analytics. Over the course of his career, he has been deeply involved in over $300 million worth of projects and has contributed to many more. In his current role, Dane performs business development strategy, focusing on partner relations, market intelligence, and deal generation with key industry players. He also represents Fortune-Johnson at major industry events, supporting the company’s strategic growth and expanding its visibility across the market. Beyond relationship management, Dane plays a critical role with analytics at Fortune-Johnson, performing conceptual estimation, financial modeling, underwriting, timeline studies, and feasibility analysis that directly support the company’s operational and bidding strategies. Dane holds an MBA with a concentration in Real Estate Development from Clemson University, where he also earned his undergraduate degree in International Business with a minor in Business Administration. A strong advocate for emerging leadership, Dane is passionate about collaboration, growth, and bringing thoughtful execution to both teams and projects. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, and being outdoors.
