Bio
Daniel Alesandro is a Senior Vice President with the New York Tri-State Region Retail Services Team. Mr. Alesandro has spent most of his career dedicated to consulting with tenants on their retail rollout strategies in New York as well as across the rest of the U.S. Over the course of his career, he has worked with strong retail brands including Tory Burch, Microsoft, Sephora, L Brands (Henri Bendel, Victoria’s Secret, Bath & Body Works), Coach, Fifth & Pacific (formerly the Liz Claiborne family of brands including Juicy Couture, Kate Spade, Jack Spade, Lucky Brand, etc.) and Michael Kors. Mr. Alesandro is currently actively handling national retail rollouts for Davidoff of Geneva, Hartmann and Track & Field, as well as store acquisition and disposition work in New York City for L Brands, Joe Fresh, Coach, Microsoft, Tory Burch, J. Jill and others.
Mr. Alesandro has worked extensively with major retail brands on initial rollouts including Michael Kors—which, when he started working on the account, operated only three stores in the U.S. He has also worked extensively with “better” and bridge brands on their urban rebranding strategies. On behalf of two of his newest clients—Switzerland-based Davidoff of Geneva and Joe Fresh, which is owned by the Canadian conglomerate Loblaw Companies—Mr. Alesandro is focused on street-front store repositioning as well as other strategic retail work in concert with C-suite executives at both companies.
On the disposition side, Mr. Alesandro has worked on some of Manhattan’s landmark work, including the assignment of Victoria’s Secret’s 25,000-square-foot Upper West Side location to Apple. Mr. Alesandro also handled the sublease and eventual assignment of Jil Sander’s 15,000-square-foot flagship at 11 East 57th Street to the Miu Miu division of Prada. On behalf of European retailer Esprit, Mr. Alesandro is currently handling the disposition of its 20,000-square-foot former flagship at 21 West 34th Street in Midtown Manhattan.
On the landlord side, Mr. Alesandro has significant leasing experience with landlords such as Westfield, where he was the retained leasing consultant for more than two years on its World Trade Center retail development in Lower Manhattan. Mr. Alesandro has also worked on behalf of Morgan Stanley and its prime property fund in the leasing of several properties in its Manhattan portfolio, including 500 Park Avenue and 525 Lexington Avenue.
Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Alesandro worked at several top firms, including Madison Retail Group and its predecessor firm, Madison HGCD, as well as Newmark Grubb Knight Frank.
