Mr. Lisser is Senior Managing Director, Capital Advisory at Lee & Associates' New York office.
Mr. Lisser’s diverse experience in all aspects of commercial real estate capital markets, including time as a commercial banker, CMBS loan originator, work-out consultant, and mortgage broker provides him with a unique perspective and value proposition for his clients.
Throughout his career, Mr. Lisser has been responsible for the origination and underwriting of over $8 billion of commercial mortgages and $3 billion of commercial mortgage sales throughout the United States.
From 2016 to 2024, Mr. Lisser was a managing director at Marcus & Millichap Capital Corp where he was responsible for originating and closing commercial mortgages, mezzanine debt and preferred equity secured by commercial real estate.
Prior to Marcus & Millichap, Mr. Lisser was a senior vice president at Walker & Dunlop which he joined in November 2014 as part of the Johnson Capital acquisition. Mr. Lisser provided financing solutions to commercial real estate developers and owners located nationwide. Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Lisser was a principal and senior managing director for Johnson Capital. Before joining Johnson Capital in 2004, Mr. Lisser was a managing director at the Ackman-Ziff Real Estate Group, where he headed the firm's loan sales group and was involved in raising debt and equity for real estate projects throughout the United States. Preceding Ackman-Ziff, Mr. Lisser was a vice president at Secured Capital Corporation where he was co-head of the loan sales advisory group. Previously, Mr. Lisser was a lender with Deutsche Bank and Chemical Bank and a consultant with Ernst & Young.
Mr. Lisser holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Clarkson University and a Master of Science degree in Real Estate Finance from New York University.
Mr. Lisser was on the board of governors of the Young Mortgage Bankers Association and is a past chair of the Real Estate Executives Division of the United Jewish Appeal of New York City. In addition, Mr. Lisser is a licensed New York real estate salesperson.
