Darrin Coles was born in Longview, Texas, and grew up in North Texas and Southwest Missouri. He graduated cum laude from Kemper Military College in 1993 and later attended the Sorrell College of Business at Troy State University.
Darrin is a United States Army veteran who served as a military police officer during four overseas deployments. His extensive leadership and business background also includes 12 years as a general manager with Cracker Barrel, where he received the prestigious Uncle Herschel Award; three years as Chief Operating Officer of D&D Entertainment, which provided performers for AMResorts throughout Mexico and the Caribbean; and three years as a financial representative with Modern Woodmen of America.
Before entering commercial real estate, Darrin founded D.R. Coles LLC to help small-business owners improve their marketing, branding, financial performance, operational systems, and overall profitability.
Today, Darrin serves as Executive Vice President of Pegasus Property Group with Coldwell Banker Commercial Realty. Pegasus Property Group was the highest-producing commercial real estate team for Coldwell Banker Commercial Realty in Texas for 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026—with 2027 TBD.
Darrin specializes in commercial and industrial sales, leasing, investment analysis, site selection, and business-location strategy throughout North Texas. He works closely with business owners, investors, landlords, tenants, and developers to evaluate properties, understand financial and operational requirements, and identify real estate solutions that support long-term growth.
His approach is based on listening, analyzing, educating, and guiding. Rather than simply completing transactions, Darrin helps clients understand their options, recognize potential risks, and make informed commercial real estate decisions.
Darrin’s combination of military leadership, business operations, financial analysis, marketing experience, and commercial real estate expertise allows him to evaluate opportunities from both an ownership and operational perspective.
