David Knight is Chief Development Officer at Walton Communities, a for-profit business which develops, owns and manages apartment communities throughout the metro-Atlanta area and Augusta. Knight is responsible for the acquisition, development and construction management of all projects. Knight graduated from the University of Florida and has been professionally involved in real estate construction and development since 1981. Prior to co-founding Walton Communities, he partnered with Keith Davidson in 1988 to form Knight-Davidson Company, a Cobb County-based residential development company, where he oversaw the development of more than 1,400 single family home-sites as well as the construction of more than 800 homes and multiple apartment communities Knight has served on the Board of Trustees for Whitefield Academy, the Cobb Community Foundation, and is a former member of the ULI Livable Community Council.
