He had served as Chief Executive Officer of Simon Property Group since 1995 and was President of the company from 1993 to 1996. Earlier in his career, he was a Vice President at Wasserstein Perella & Company from 1988 to 1990 and an Associate at First Boston Corp. from 1985 to 1988. Mr. Simon also served as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Klépierre, a publicly traded, Paris-based retail real estate company. He had been a director of Simon Property Group since 1993.
