Bio
Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Foundation Capital Partners responsible for implementing the company’s overall investment strategy and overseeing its operations. He also focuses on capital raising together with sourcing and structuring investments for the firm, with a focus on special situation debt and equity opportunities. Prior to FCP, he was a Principal and Managing Director of Madison Capital since 2010 serving as Head of Acquisitions and a member of the firm’s investment committee. At Madison, he oversaw debt and equity transactions in excess of $2 billion, covering retail, office, hospitality and multifamily assets in major U.S. markets. Prior to joining the team at Madison, Mr. Steinberg was a Founder and Managing Principal of FrontView Group, a private real estate investment and advisory firm, where he was responsible for the firm’s principal investment activities. Before FrontView, Mr. Steinberg served as a Vice President at Antares Investment Partners, a real estate private equity and development firm. Mr. Steinberg spent the first six years of his real estate career as an attorney at the New York City offices of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP and Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP. While at these firms, he represented private equity funds, investment banks and developers in all aspects of commercial real estate, including the origination and syndication of billions of dollars in mortgage and mezzanine debt.
