David Tart is a Managing Partner at Raines, a leading hospitality management and investment firm in the Southeast. Raised in a military family, David’s early life took him across the country before settling in South Carolina, where he earned a degree in Biology from the University of South Carolina.
His interest in hospitality began in 2005 with the development of a Hampton Inn on his family’s farmland in Dunn, NC. That experience sparked a passion for the industry and led to a partnership with Raines in 2017, built on a shared vision and longstanding friendship with the Raines family.
At Raines, David focuses on thoughtful decision-making, team development, and delivering consistent results for partners and investors. He is especially passionate about creating career opportunities and fostering a strong company culture.
David lives in Charleston, SC, where he enjoys traveling, staying active, and spending time with his family.
