Dayna Desmond is a Partner and Managing Director, Head of Leasing & Asset Management at Argonaut Investments. In her current role, she is responsible for strategic planning across the firm’s real estate portfolio, overseeing leasing activities for national and big-box tenants, and supporting the acquisition process for new investments. Her responsibilities span asset-level strategy, tenant negotiations, and coordination with acquisitions and capital teams to enhance long-term asset performance. Desmond has been with Argonaut Investments since 2017 and was promoted to Managing Director and Partner in 2025, reflecting an expanded leadership role within the firm’s asset management and leasing platform.
Prior to joining Argonaut Investments, Desmond served as Director of Operations and Finance for a private owner of commercial real estate in the San Francisco Bay Area. In that role, she oversaw day-to-day operations of a real estate portfolio exceeding $100 million in value and comprising more than 250,000 square feet of commercial retail space. The portfolio included neighborhood shopping centers, single-tenant retail properties such as restaurants and banks, parking lots, and office space. During her ten-year tenure, she was involved in acquisition analysis, development, leasing, dispositions, financing, partnership restructurings, and property management. Earlier in her career, Desmond worked in financial services and investment research roles, including positions at Merrill Lynch’s Private Banking and Investment Group, Buckingham Research Group as an equity research associate, and RS Investments as a portfolio assistant. Her career reflects a progression from investment analysis and finance into senior-level real estate asset management and leasing leadership.
