Derek Lewis leads Lincoln’s Tenant Representation team while driving other areas of the firm’s local interest of development, leasing, and property management. Derek specializes in office and industrial properties with a focus on interim, long-range, and budgetary objectives of corporate tenant’s facility requirements. Derek’s professional objectives allow for lease, purchase, build-to-suit, and buy-leasebacks on behalf of his clients.
Prior to joining Lincoln Property Company in January 2016, Mr. Lewis served as a Partner and Managing Director of Stream’s Tenant Representation group. Prior to a career in commercial real estate, Derek developed a background in Public Policy working both in Texas and Washington, D.C. Derek served as a political appointee to the Administration of President George H.W. Bush (41). During this period, he served in the International Trade Administration of the Department of Commerce, the Presidential Advance Team as well as the Republican National Committee. Once back in Texas, Derek became the Executive Director of the National Council of Contractors Association (NCCA). Derek was the Legislative Liaison for the association’s program initiatives.
Derek cherishes an excellent upbringing in Paris, Texas. He enjoys time on the links, hunting, fishing, peaceful time on spring-fed water of the Texas Hill Country, and quality time with his family and friends. Derek is a proud husband and father of two children.
