Derek Otte is Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of Barrister Executive Suites, Inc., a premier commercial real estate company with over 300,000 sq. Ft. of office space under management. As CAO, he prospects new locations for expansion, sets the strategy for lease renewals, aids locations in meeting future market trends, and oversees project management and technology departments.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Otte was a sales and marketing manager. While serving in this capacity, he built on the rich legacy of Barrister Executive Suites, Inc. to refresh the image of the company through the rebranding of marketing collateral; facilitating and enhancing proper communication between and amongst the team directly correlating to increased sales revenue. Mr. Otte served as the Vice President of Portfolio Management from 2017 to 2019. He oversaw the development of a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) that puts the company at a distinct competitive advantage. In 2019, he assumed the additional role of CAO. Mr. Otte began his career in 2007 as a sales associate at Newmark Knight Frank, a commercial real estate advisory firm.
Outside the boardroom, Mr. Otte, a four-time All-American athlete may be found engaged in a variety of fitness activities from beach volleyball to basketball to cycling races. He is passionate about world travel and personalizing the concept of being a global citizen. Be it in Pacific Palisades where he grew up, Santa Monica where he resides, or the countries to which he travels, Mr. Otte has a heart for service and seeks to improve the lives of those whose paths he crosses.
Mr. Otte holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara, and an Executive Masters of Business Administration from Pepperdine University.
