Don is a Director with Grant Thornton. Don specializes in real estate valuation and consulting for both corporate and institutional owners and users. Don has also managed the loan underwriting due diligence process and has performed audit analysis for numerous offices, retail, multifamily and self storage properties. He has been one of four service providers invited to participate in the beta-testing and extended roll-out of a new web-based model.
Experience: Don has been engaged in the valuation and consulting of commercial real estate since 1989. His experience includes a wide variety of investment grade property types including retail facilities, office buildings, industrial properties, subdivisions, apartment properties and numerous special-use properties. He has previous real estate experience with a firm in Houston, Texas, where he specialized in condemnation-related appraisal projects. He has real estate related experience throughout the United States, Mexico and Australia.
Affiliations: Don is a General Associate Member of the Appraisal Institute. He is a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in Texas, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Washington, D.C. and is qualified to perform appraisal and consulting assignments in the remaining states.
Education: Don received a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree from Stephen F. Austin in 1988. Additionally, he regularly attends real estate related courses and seminars.
