Douglas Mueller serves as a Vice Chairman in the company’s Washington, D.C. office. A 22-year commercial real estate veteran, Mueller is recognized as one of the top brokers in the region, specializing in agency representation on behalf of institutional, regional and local office landlords. He has conducted more than 1,000 transactions, across 20 million square feet, with a total deal volume of more than $5 billion.
Mueller joins Newmark from JLL, where served as an Executive Managing Director and co-led the firm’s Agency Leasing team in Washington, DC. While there, Mueller was instrumental in spearheading the expansion of the team and its agency portfolio from one million square feet to 20 million square feet of office buildings in various product types and locations.
Prior to JLL, Mueller served as a Senior Vice President at CBRE, where he specialized in agency leasing and represented institutional, regional and local landlords on more than four million square feet of property within the D.C. market.
