Duke Dodson founded Dodson Property Management in 2007. At its peak, DPM managed over 5,500 residential units, 2.5 million SF of commercial space and 14,000 HOA doors. In 2022, DPM divested its single family and HOA divisions to Evernest, based in Birmingham, AL, and its multifamily division to Atrium Management Company in Orlando, FL. Duke still sits on the boards of those two companies, and Dodson Companies continues to work hand in hand with both Evernest and Atrium.
In 2018, Duke founded Dodson Development Group to focus on urban opportunistic infill projects in transitional neighborhoods that include multifamily, commercial, and mixed-use projects, mostly in Richmond and Colonial Beach, Virginia.
