Edna Chirico, CCIM, has 15 years experience in commercial brokerage and site selection consulting in the areas of land for housing and mixed use projects, office, retail, medical, entitlements, market analysis and competitor analysis.
Prior to affiliating with Sperry Van Ness, Chirico owned and managed Chirico Huber Properties. Previously, Chirico helped establish and served as executive director for Charlotte Region Commercial Board of Realtors and she served as a Mecklenburg County Commissioner for two terms from 1990- 1994.
Chirico holds the coveted Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation and has been the recipient of Charlotte Region Commercial Board of Realtors’ annual Deal Maker award for the past eight years. She is also actively involved in economic development serving on the Board of Advisors for the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce, Gaston Regional Chamber of Commerce and Gaston Economic Development Division.
Chirico has extensive civic leadership experience and is currently chairing the Charlotte Chamber University Chapter and serving as secretary for the University City Partners, a municipal service district and secretary of the newly established Catawba River District, a regional green branding and education initiative. Past accomplishments include past chair WTVI public television board, past chair Mountain Island Lake Marine Commission, board Charlotte Mecklenburg Park and Recreation Commission, Mecklenburg Capital Budget Advisory Board and Charlotte Small Business Advisory Board.
Having grown up in Oregon, Chirico has called Charlotte home since 1979 being actively involved in its evolution into the thriving region it is today. Chirico believes in Sperry Van Ness and its commitment to long term customer relationships.
