Bio
A Central Florida native, Eddie Yang has over 20 years of Florida multifamily experience. As President and Co-Founder of JBM®, Eddie focuses on business development, investment sales executions of institutional grade market-rate and tax-credit/bond financed properties, equity raises for development and operating sponsors and overseeing the firm’s financial underwriting, market surveillance research and asset positioning strategies. Prior to joining the JBM® team, Eddie was with CBRE – Florida Multihousing Group and specialized in origination and execution of multifamily dispositions including opportunistic transactions involving fractured garden and mid/high rise condominium properties, distressed loan sales and land development sites all with an aggregate value of over $635 million. In addition, he was a member of the Multifamily Debt and Structured Finance Group where he specialized in DUS underwriting and agency executions. Before entering the brokerage and advisory industry, Eddie was on the buy-side responsible for acquisitions and development of various real estate asset types including multifamily. His early career started in investment banking at JPMorgan in New York City, which is why he still has a 917 area code to his cell phone number. Eddie is an advisory member of the National Multi-Housing Council (NMHC), Urban Land Institute, and the Real Estate Investment Council. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting and Finance from Goizueta Business School at Emory University and is a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the state of Florida. His long list of interests include attending his local church with his family, Florida water sports such as yachting and tarpon fishing in Boca Grande, public speaking in front of a lot of people, high intensity weight lifting, playing a round of golf within 3 hours and 15 minutes, club tennis, V8 engine pickup trucks, federation camping in Ocala National Forest, pond maintenance with pet turtles, Volusia and Brevard county surfing, no higher than Class IV white water rafting, rock climbing/ziplining, snowboarding off-marker in Colorado and dining out at new Orlando eateries. Prior to joining the JBM® team, Eddie was with CBRE – Florida Multihousing Group and specialized in valuation and disposition of institutional multi-housing properties, fractured and stalled garden and mid/high rise condominium properties, and loan sales of over 7,000 units with an aggregate value of over $635 million. In addition, he was a member of the Debt and Equity Finance Group where he underwrote properties for debt financing according to Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae standards. Before entering the brokerage and advisory industry, Eddie was involved in acquisitions and development of various asset types including multifamily. He also previously worked at JP Morgan in New York as an investment banking analyst and advisor. Eddie is an advisory member of the National Multi-Housing Council (NMHC), Urban Land Institute, and the Real Estate Investment Council. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting and Finance from Goizueta Business School at Emory University and is a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the state of Florida. His interests include public speaking, tennis, golf, white water rafting, rock climbing, tarpon fishing, snow biking and snowboarding off-marker.
