Over the course of the past decade, Edwin’s portfolio of properties throughout the United States has increased threefold and he is currently responsible for overseeing $8 Billion in real property that includes healthcare, multi-family, and retail assets.
Edwin amassed a large amount of experience on the national level. He currently works in several states including California, Washington, Texas, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Edwin’s experience includes resolving complex real property appeals through the informal process, formal Board hearings and the litigation process resulting in millions of dollars of tax savings throughout his career. Edwin has also been heavily involved in assisting clients in identifying and pursuing real property tax exemption and abatement opportunities at both local and state levels throughout the country. In addition, Edwin has consulted with clients in auditing real property records and identifying savings opportunities in the realm of Use and Occupancy tax.
Edwin has assisted several clients’ Acquisitions groups, through due diligence, on the impact of property taxes related to potential purchases. In addition, he has assisted clients’ in the annual accrual planning process.
