In 2005 Edwin Hernandez joined Binswanger Corp. and since then the company has been working under the name of Binswanger Puerto Rico (BPR). The management team is led by Edwin Hernandez, SIOR CCIM, a seasoned real estate professional. Serving Puerto Rico’s market, BPR is active in the acquisition and disposition of industrial and commercial properties, site development and zoning consulting, office and warehouse leasing, land investment, and construction in Puerto Rico. In addition, the company offers corporate real estate (tenant/buyer representative) location counseling and real estate investment analysis.
As Managing Director of BPR, Mr. Hernandez meets the industrial and commercial real estate needs on the Island. Mr. Hernandez has represented some of the world's most prestigious companies including AbbVie, Microsoft, Bayer Corporation, Gillette, Amgen, West Pharmaceutical, Allergan Pharmaceutical, International Paper, Hertz, TJX, Dow Chemical, Federal Government (GSA), among others. Prior to be working with Binswanger, Mr.
Hernandez served as Vice-President of NAI-Franciscvs Real Estate and Associates, Inc. which was the first Commercial and Industrial firm to served international clients in Puerto Rico. Mr. Hernandez holds 2 of the most respectable commercial and Industrial real estate national designations; CCIM & SIOR and was also one of the founders of the CCIM Puerto Rico's chapter who he served as president in 2007. The CCIM designation is awarded to commercial real estate professionals upon completion of a graduate-level curriculum and attainment of a level of qualifying experience; A Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) is recognized for its pre-eminence within the industry, the CCIM curriculum represents the best core knowledge expected of commercial investment practitioners.
