Elizabeth Solender is a nationally recognized authority on nonprofit and small business real estate issues. As President of Solender/Hall, Inc., she has assisted hundreds of nonprofit organizations and small businesses in achieving their real estate objectives. Solender is the author of numerous articles on commercial real estate and organizational communication, and a frequent speaker on real estate, management, volunteering, leadership development and community issues. Her articles regarding nonprofit real estate have been published in Commercial Lender, Fund Raising Management, Philanthropy in Texas, National Society of Fund Raising Executives Magazine, Nonprofit World, Journal of Taxation of Exempt Organizations and Washington D.C. Business Journal.
Solender has been involved in many national, community and civic organizations. She is a national Past President of Commercial Real Estate Women Network (CREW-Network) which is comprised of over 10,000 members specializing in commercial real estate in the US and internationally and founder and past Chair of the CREW Foundation. She is a past President of the Board of Trustees of the Dallas Museum of Natural History (now the Perot Museum). In addition,served as President of two United Way agencies (The Family Place and Greater Dallas Mental Health Association); Co-Chair of the President’s Research Council at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center; President of Dallas Commercial Real Estate Women (the 1997 recipient of their Outstanding Achievement Award and the Life Member Award); and in 2012 National Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Circle of Excellence award, CREW Network’s highest honor. In 2019, she was named a Power Broker by D CEO and Bisnow named her a DFW Power Woman.
She serves on the Board of Directors Origin Bancorp (Nasdaq)and Lost Oak Winery. Solender is a past Chair of the National Association of Corporate Directors North Texas Chapter. as well as a current member of The Dallas Assembly, Commercial Real Estate Women, The Real Estate Council and the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors. Solender is a licensed real estate broker in Texas.
Solender earned a master’s degree from Purdue University and a bachelor’s degree from Emerson College in Boston.
