Ellen Muskin, Founding Principal, opened Muskin Commercial, LLC in 2011, having spent more than 30+ years involved in the sales, brokerage and analyses of multifamily properties in Austin area markets. Her prior experience included 12 years with Hendricks-Berkadia (fka Hendricks & Partners), where Ellen became a valued Partner and the designated Broker for all Texas offices. She served for more than a decade as head of Commercial Industrial Properties Company Multifamily Division and authored “The Source,” a respected quarterly review of the market. Ellen started her career in commercial real estate as co-owner of EquiNomics, a local start-up brokerage specializing in apartment communities, and created one of the first apartment databases in Austin. She holds membership in the Austin Commercial Real Estate Society (ACRES), Austin Chamber of Commerce, National Multi-Housing Council (NMHC), National Assoc. of Realtors (NAR), Texas Assoc. of Realtors (TAR) and Real Estate Council of Austin (RECA) . Ellen attended the University of Texas/Austin, graduating with a B.S. in Communications (1980). Her career has always centered around marketing, including working with Harte-Hanks Communications and Cox Enterprises. She has resided in Austin since 1976, is married to a homebuilder and has two adult daughters and two grandsons. Her interests include gardening, entertaining, live music and practicing random acts of kindness.
