Bio
Evan Lyons is a commercial real estate leader, investor, and community advocate whose career is defined by collaboration, strategic thinking, and a deep commitment to building stronger communities across Oakland County and the Midwest. As Executive Vice President at Encore Real Estate Investment Services, Lyons helps clients transform their commercial real estate portfolios into dynamic investment platforms designed for long-term growth, resilience, and impact. Since joining Encore in 2017, he has become one of the firm’s top producers, closing more than $350 million in commercial real estate transactions and consistently ranking among the company’s top five agents nationwide. Beyond brokerage, Lyons brings a rare operator’s perspective to his advisory work. He previously served as Director of Operations for Tolson Enterprises, where he managed a 3.4 million square-foot real estate portfolio spanning retail, industrial, office, and self-storage assets throughout the Midwest. In that role, he led acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and build-to-suit developments for Fortune 100 companies, while driving increased occupancy, revenue growth, and brand visibility. This hands-on operational experience allows Lyons to better advocate for clients navigating complex investment decisions, workforce needs, and evolving market conditions. Committed to public service and professional mentorship, Lyons is a long-standing member of ULI Michigan, serving on the Small-Scale Development Local Product Council, and an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). He regularly contributes to industry publications including Heartland Real Estate Business, Shopping Center Business, and Restaurant Finance Monitor, and frequently speaks at conferences, universities, podcasts, and community forums on real estate investment, development, and economic trends. A proud Eagle Scout and graduate of Central Michigan University with a degree in Real Estate Development and Finance, Lyons remains deeply connected to Oakland County, where he lives in Highland with his wife Jessica and their two daughters, Ruby and Nora. The most rewarding engagement he favors is his annual visit back to Central Michigan University to speak to budding real estate entrepreneur students in the Finance capstone class in the business school. He is an active member of Prestwick Village Golf Club, serving on both the Golf and Greens Committees, and believes strongly in giving back through leadership, mentorship, and community engagement. At the core of Lyons’ work is a belief that real estate is not just about buildings, it is about people, opportunity, and creating inclusive environments where communities and businesses can thrive.
