Prior to Loh & Co., Gary worked as Leasing Manager for Crescent Real Estate Equities. At Crescent, Gary represented Houston Center , the downtown multi-use complex consisting of four office buildings of over 4 million square feet and an attached retail mall. - Leasing performance was greatly enhanced at Houston Center during Gary ’s tenure. Crescent had recently acquired the Chevron Tower building (renamed Fulbright Tower) which was less than 50% occupied and with Gary’s assistance, the building was brought to over 95% occupancy. At Trizec Properties, Gary was responsible for leasing the Allen Center and Cullen Center complexes, seven office buildings consisting of 6.9 million square feet. - Enron had recently vacated over 600,000 square feet and Gary was instrumental in backfilling the space in a very challenging market environment. Gary also represented several suburban office buildings with Transwestern Commercial Services and had gained recognition in exceeding expectations in leasing some challenging buildings undergoing renovation in the Greenspoint market. At AmREIT, Gary was a member of ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers) and was instrumental in the growth of the then fledgling company by contributing to several strategic retail investment acquisitions and leasing transactions. Gary has achieved the CCIM designation (Certified Commercial Investment Member), which is only accomplished after completing a course load of graduate-level courses in commercial real estate, meeting professional requirements and completing a comprehensive exam. He has served on the Boards of The Downtown Club at Met, Houston/Gulf Coast Chapter of CCIM, Afton Village Swim Club and his neighborhood civic association, and has been actively involved with Cub Scout Pack 552. He has a Texas Real Estate Broker License and a Degree in Accounting from Texas A & M University .
