Geoffrey Galand is an urban architect and co-manager of Atelier 9.81. He graduated in 1999 from the École Nationale d'Architecture et de Paysage in Lille, where he currently leads an architectural project workshop and an urban morphology laboratory within the landscape section.
In 2015, he founded a professional degree program in urban planning at the University of Lille, serving as its director for four years. He regularly contributes to seminars and conferences focused on sustainable development and urban issues.
As collection director and author for the “Junior Ville” series published by Editions Autrement, he also authored “I Love Nature, I Live in the City” for WWF and Editions La Martinière in 2015.
Following a four-year term as president of Waao – the Hauts-de-France House of Architecture and the City, he established and now chairs the association Les Bruits de la Ville, which promotes innovation in architecture and urban planning.
Currently, he develops projects with a strong commitment to sustainable development, emphasizing urban strategy and increasingly applying his expertise internationally, particularly across the African continent.
