Mr. Abi Zeid has led multiple ventures from Technology to Real Estate. As an investor, operator and entrepreneur, Mr. Abi Zeid has founded multiple successful telecommunication companies including Swift Global and STI. In 1980, Swift Global was established targeting primarily financial service and shipping companies. In 1993 Swift Global was recognized by Inc. magazine as one of the fastest growing companies. Mr. Abi Zeid acted as President and CEO of Swift Global until 1994, when it was sold to Xpedite Systems Inc. {NASDQ:XPED}.
Subsequently, Abi Zeid became President of Xpedite International and remained President of Xpedite International and Executive Vice President of Xpedite Systems, Inc. until 1999, when Premiere Technologies, Inc. {NASDAQ:PGI} acquired the company.
In 2001 Swift Telecommunications Inc (STI), Mr. Abi Zeid as Sole proprietor, acquired EasyLink from AT&T for US $60 million dollars and later merged the business with Mail.com establishing EasyLink Services Inc. {NASDAQ:EASY}. Easylink revenues during that period were 138 million dollars. From 2001 thru early 2005 Mr. Abi Zeid served as the President of the International Division, Member of The Board, Executive Vice President and largest individual shareholder. Mr. Abi Zeid resigned in 2005 in order to give more attention to building GAZ Realty and expanding its operations in the North East.
